The End! :(

Northeast January-1 2019 is ending today! :(
The trip was a success and we would like to thank all the exchange students, as well as our Coordinators, Chaperone, drivers, guides and suppliers!
A special thanks to Rotary, all the families, host families, Officers and Chairmen. Thanks for the support!
Hope see you all again in South American Adventure trip...that is coming!

27 de janeiro - Angra dos Reis/São Paulo

We woke up at 7am and made the check out and had breakfast at 7:30 am. At 8 am we had a 4 hour boat tour. Sometimes we stopped at islands to go swimming but I was sleeping the 3 of 4 hours so I haven’t seen a lot. But I went swimming at the last stop and it was very beautiful.
After the boat tour we had lunch in the city and after we had a 8 hours bus ride to São Paulo where I also slept the most of the time.
We arrived at 9:30 pm in São Paulo and had dinner at the Hotel. After dinner we had the last meeting and this night we had no Curfew so nearly everyone stayed downstairs at the Reception to say goodbye to the first group, which one left at 3:30 am.

26 de Janeiro - Copacabana

Today everyone showed their own skills in the kitchen, making breakfast. At 8:30 AM we went to the world famous Copacabana beach and just enjoyed the time at one of the most beautiful places of Brazil.

At 11 AM we were back in the Hotel to get ready to leave at 12 AM to Angra dos Reis. After 3 relaxing hours in our second home (the Bus) we arrived there and everybody went swimming with an incredible view. Filling up our hungry stomaches at 7:30 PM to be nicely satisfied for a crazy night. After the dinner we had a long meeting where we were writing a test about Brazil, giving a feedback of the tour, finally exchanging all of our pins and lots of people wrote nice things on the flags of others.

Then the crazy part of the night started, we made the winning ceremorning of the elections about the exchange students. We were voting what we think about the others (for example: the most simpatic, the best/worst singer and many more categories). After that we were just enjoying a fun party with nice music and fruits, dancing like crazy until 4 AM. This trip was absolutly amazing. Making so many new friends from all over the world is the most incredible and the most fun experience you can have. We just know eachother since not even one month but we are a big family. So a huge thanks to everyone for making this tour unforgettable. We will see each other again in the future but for now we sadly have to say "good bye". :(

25 de Janeiro - Rio de Janeiro

Today everyone made their own breakfast and we were ready in the bus at 7:10 am. First we drove to the amazing stadium of Maracanã and had an awesome tour there, seeing the grass where Germany won the World Cup back in 2014.

After that we went to the Museum of Amanhã and had an mindblowing experience there, seeing a lot about the cosmos and our planet.
 

Continuing the trip with a nicely filled stomach to the wonterful pão de açucar. Sadly it started to rain very heavily right after we reached the top of the mountain, but that doesn't stop us crazy exchange students from having a great time! We danced in the rain like little kids havin the time of our lives!! 

Getting hungry of the crazy dances we went to a pizzaria and had a nice dinner, just enjoing the last few days of this totally amazing tour till we cry missing the good times. Tonight everybody will go to sleep at midnight.

24 de Janeiro - Rio de Janeiro

Hoje, a gente ta no rio de janeiro, a cidade que todo mundo estava esperando com muita ansiedade!

De manhã a gente foi para praia Ipanema, essa praia ta muito muito quente, com o mar azul, e parece simplesmente com um paraíso, o ambiente la é muito legal, todo mundo feliz, aproveitando e sem pensar em nenhum problemas que a gente deixou no hotel.

Algumas pessoas saíram bem vermelhas, mas todo mundo saiu da praia com muita ansiedade porque a galera estava indo pro Crist Redentor! Antes de ir la, a gente almoçou num lugarzinho bem fofo, e a comida foi boa mesmo. Dai chegou o momento de esperar o trem para subir a montanha do Crist, algumas pessoas compraram coisas e depois chegou o momento que todo mundo estava esperando. Eu não sei se foi assim para todos os intercambistas, mas para mim chegar la, em cima, e ver esse crist, meu deu o sentimento que a minha viagem do brasil era verdade mesmo, que eu tenho uma chance enooorme e fiquei impressionada desse paisagem maravilhoso! O grupo tirou muitas fotos, bastante são lindas, mas tem ainda mais que são muito engraçadas. Depois disso todo mundo estava muito cansado, normal. Foi uns dos melhores dias dessa viajem para todo mundo com certeza e foi um dia perfeito.

Finally!!!!! Rio de Janeiro

Today after 10 hours of traveling in our beautiful bus, we finally arrive to Rio de Janeiro.

We arrive to our hotel around 5 and we found out that it didn’t have breakfast so we went to the supermarket to buy our breakfast for 3 days, we had dinner and then have our daily meeting.

22 de Janeiro: Vitória

Nós fomos para a praia em Vitória pra aproveitar o sol e a aula de surf.
Mas este dia as ondas foram muito pequenas. Então nós estamos esperando e nós fizemos 3 grupos das pessoas pra fazer a aula.

Durante o primeiro grupo foi no mar, a gente estava no restaurante de Quintal do Contêiner. Lá nós comemos açaí, burger e nós bebemos os refrigerantes. Depois os outros pessoas foram para a praia. Infelizmente as ondas ficaram pequenas. Mesmo assim, nós divertimos muito!

21 de Janeiro - Vitória

Chegamos!!

After 12 hours on the bus today we have arrived in the beautiful city of Vitória

We set off for our embark bright and early. At 6:00 we woke up, and by 8:00 we were -as Willie Nelson once said-“on the road again.”

Although spending time on the bus may sound like a drag, it really isn’t that bad.

The worst thing about it is the fact that it’s not comfortable, but really, we’re never sitting down anyways.

But when we’re sleeping, we’re scattered everywhere.

Everybody has started to get sick, which can come with some smells...also makes for a longer bus ride.

Today we have only one week left of our trip, and I think the ONLY reason anybody wants to leave is so that they can sleep for a full 8 hours.

Other than that, we have everything we need; surrounded by the most beautiful, fun loving family, from all over the world.

19 de Janeiro - Salvador/Porto Seguro

We Woke up at 5:40 am and had Breakfast at 6 am.

Then we left the hotel at 7 am.

At 10:15 until 10:35 am we had a Little break at gas station and at 12:40 am finally lunch break in Gandu.

At 6 pm until 6:20 pm we had again a little break at gas station.

At 8 pm we arrived in Porto Seguro and had dinner at restaurant.

At 10 pm we arrived finally at the hotel and had a meeting at 10:30 pm and after Freetime until 1:30 am.

So it was a day full of bus driving and sleeping.

18 de Janeiro - Salvador

Today we started our day at 7...had breakfast and joy was with her suitcase down in the lobby...but then she understood that we were gonna stay in the room for 2 days....so she had to go back again in the room to keep her bag..

Ya.. next JEGUE PURRETA holder...was gonna be her..!!!

Then we got into the bus and started to go to the Church..where they tie the band's..I took 40 of them...and all of the band's which I tied had the same freaking 3 wishes...!!!!

Bcoz I really wanted them to come true!!!!!

When we got there we found out that it was the governor's birthday and so there were TV channel's people there recording...and as obvious all of us got in front of the camera...wishing him...!!!

We then walked down the streets and went to small little shops to  buy souvenirs..then we went to a market...the market had 120 shops...that was big...we had our lunch there..some went to the Subway to eat...

As we were all going back..on the street we heard.. JEGUE PORRETA...we all slept on the street and danced...and every person on street was shocked ..

Then we went up an elevator and Then we walked and walked and walked...we visited churches...they were beautiful!!

We then saw a school of battery...it was amazing... everyone was enjoying...dancing....it was the best part of the day we had icecream..açai....and then at 6 went for dinner!!

Then there was a street play...some of us wanted to see the full of it..but we had to go to see a show in the theatre which was incredible...yeah...we saw things which were not at all expected!!!!

It was a long tiring day...and yes...in the reunion...Joy won the chupeta!!

As soon as we got to the hotels...we were in our beds!!!!

16 de Janeiro - Canindé do São Franscisco

Today we woke up really early, had breakfast around 5.30pm and were in the bus from 6am-3pm, so used a lot of time in the bus, but we always find things to do, so the time goes by fast.

After the long bus ride we arrived in the city Piranha, where we had a quick lunch. After lunch we went on a big boat, where we went on a sightseeing around the river São Francisco. After a bit of sailing we stopped in the middle of São Francisco to go for a swim in between the canyons. After 3 hours of dancing, music, swimming, 1000 pictures and a lot of fun, it was time to head to the hotel.

The nights are always fun, great company and a lot of bad jokes. After dinner out in the streets of Piranha, we spend the rest of the night on the hotel.

15 de Janeiro - Recife

Today we are going to Olinda..!!

The "beautiful city""

It was a 4 hour journey till there...where we reached for our lunch..

After lunch we went for a tour to the city..it was such a colourful city...every house painted in different colour..

It looked amazing...we walked up the streets to see the church of san Francisco..as we were walking.. Marie commanded JEGUE PURRETA...and everyone for some seconds was sleeping on the street and dancing!!..that was soo awkward...but game is a game...we loved it!!

We then went to a small market..where we got to buy some typical things of the city...I also saw many of the items brought from India...since they loved Indian culture which was radiant they were inspired and kept a lot of Indian things on sale..

We saw their native dance...we all were watching with shock..how could they do that ..it was so difficult!!!!

Then we walked down to the city centre...where many people gather...and spend time together...some of them dance....

We also joined the dance crowd...wwooow...their dance...cannot be explained in words...!!!!

We also saw the pillars... Which indicated how many years has Brazil completed...

That evening was tiring..but really well spent.. we then went to the shopping Mall....yaayy...we had 3 hours..to do whatever we wanted and have our dinner...we brought whatever was necessary for us ...

And then we headed to our hotel for that night ...

It was a beautiful hotel!!!

And we had a good night sleep!!!!

14 de Janeiro - Natal

Depois do café da manhã a gente foi pra aonde tá o maior cajueiro do mundo. Lá, tinha uma feira pequena e onde a gente tinha oportunidade de tirar fotos com o árvore.

A gente foi pra uma praia bem perto depois pra curtir do sol e ter oportunidade de fazer um tattoo de henna.

Nos tomamos o almoço num restaurante no lado da praia bem cedo, pra ir na lugar das aulas do stand up paddling. Chegamos lá, tudo mundo fez o stand up paddling e passou o resto do tempo lá na praia.

A gente jantou no restaurante perto da praia de rodízio bem chique e depois voltou pra o mesmo praia de stand up.

Aí tinha uma festinha brasileira com frutas, comida e música. Tudo mundo dançou e celebrou o aniversário de dois intercambistas. Os dois fizeram 19 anos aqui no intercâmbio.

Tinha também um bolo pra celebrar o aniversário de tudo mundo que vai fazer aniversário na viagem.

A noite a gente voltou pro hotel.

13 de Janeiro: Jacumã e Genipabu

We are currently in Rio Grande do Norte in the city of Natal! 

The industry is built off of shrimp production, salt, fruit, and tourism 

We started off our lovely day with breakfast at 7:30 

We were on the bus at 8, but everybody was late. I guess we were too busy eating to pay attention to the time 

Unfortunately on our way to our destination, one of our beautiful group members got sick (vomiting) and she was dropped off at the hospital with our coordinator Julia. They spent the day there waiting patiently for recovery.

Since we are such a big group, we were split into two smaller ones to spend our day at the beach, and ride buggies on sand dunes.

 

We passed by three very popular and gorgeous beaches of natal. the second group stayed at one of those beaches while the other group went to the sand dunes. After 4 hours, the groups switched activities. 

The beach was lovely, but riding on the buggies was definitely the highlight of the day. Even if half of the sand dunes ended up blowing into our mouths 

 

After our amazing day we arrived back at the hotel, and our sick group member came back from the hospital!! 

At 8:00 we went out for dinner 

Can I just say that this day blew everybody’s mind, and Natal stole everybody’s heart.

12 de Janeiro - Maceió

Nós fomos umas 8:30 horas com o ônibus e depois com o barco pra à praia do gunga. Lá nós tivemos muito tempo livre e a gente foi a lugares diferentes em grupos pequenos. Nós ficamos muito tempo na sombra e no mar com a água de coco e com os refrigerantes geladas. As 16:00 horas nós fomos embora.

Depois nós chegamos no hotel, nós estávamos tomando banho ou a gente foi à piscina. A noite nós estávamos jantando e fizemos a festa de forró.

Essa festa é uma festa da originária da região Nordeste do Brasil.

Antes nós fomos deitar pra dormir, nós estávamos arrumando nossa bagagem.

Porque o próximo dia nós viajamos pra Natal.

10 de Janeiro: Maceió

Esse manhã foi o primeiro café do manhã na pausada Kanamary. Depois disso nós estamos indo na praia pela primeira atividade, pegar uma barca por ir nas piscinas naturais no meio da maré. Muitas pessoas do grupo fizeram uma batalha com algas.

 

 

Na praia do gunga tinha um tipo do marcado público artesanal. Bem legal por comprar pequenas coisas tipo pulseirinhas.

 

 

O almoço foi num restaurante a vontade. A majoritária comi demais e foi bem ruim por a próxima atividade.

Toda tarde foi na praia por que nós teremos aulas de surf. A mare foi bem agitada mas muitas pessoas fizeram uma seção ótima. Acho que nosso grupo tem muito talento! Após o surf nós estamos comendo frutas na praia.

 

 

Para terminar a gente volta na pousada por uma noite tranquila.

9 de Janeiro: Lençóis / Maceió

Hoje nós tínhamos que acordar muito cedo porque tínhamos que pasar por três estados pra llegar a nosso destino, a gente fez o check out e depois tomamos  café da manhã as 6 pra poder sair às 7 do estado da Bahia.

A gente parou pra almoçar em una churrascaria muito chic só que aconteceu uma coisa engraçada e foi que a gente teve que pagar 4 reais por um cara que tava tocando o piano no restaurante aí todo mundo fico puto por eso. KKKKK

Depois a gente ainda tinha que ficar no ônibus por umas 10 horas mais, dai paramos pra ir ao banheiro e comprar algumas coisas como salgadinho o cookies pra continuar no ônibus até chegar a nosso destino.

Porfin a gente chego á nosso destino, jantamos em uma pizzaria e a pizza tava deliciosa e depois depois de mais de 14 horas já estávamos no hotel.

8 de Janeiro: Lençóis

Hoje começamos às 7 da manhã. Foi um dia um pouco diferente porque por primeira vez a gente não foi no ônibus. Nos caminhamos 4 km pelas montanhas de Lençóis até chegar á um tobogã natural. Onde tinha água amarela pelos resíduos da natureza. Foi muito legal, quase todos descemos pelo tobogã mas ficamos com muito dor. A gente também saltou de um risco de 3 metros onde ficávamos com medo pela altura.

Depois foi tempo do almoço, onde todos nos dirigimos até o centro da cidade e as pessoas se separaram para buscar um restaurante onde comer. Nos ficamos surpresos pelas cores e os desenhos das casas. Uma cidade muito tradicional e muito diferente à do sul do país, com paisagens charmosos e montanhosos.

Depois de comer nos fomos para a cachoeira do Mosquito onde ficamos um tempo na água e tiramos um mundo de fotos. O chão estava muito escorregadio e algumas pessoas machucaram os pés, mas ainda tudo bem que todos ficamos vivos. A verdade é que foi bonito demais e todos tivemos diversão e felicidade.

7 Janeiro: Lençóis

7  Janeiro:  Lençóis

O dia començou cedo e a gente foi para uma fazenda, onde tinha uma tiroleza e snorkel, no snorkel a gente foi para uma gruta e ver os peixes e animais na agua. Ambas actividadese eram muito boas.

Depois de ficar na fazenda ate meio-dia e curtir muito a experiencia, nos fomos a almorçar perto de uma gruta. Dopis de almorzar la, nos dividimos em 4 grupos para conhecer as grutas, ver as pedras e as estructuras, foi muito legal e uma experiencia muito boa.

6 de Janeiro: Lençóis

Hoje começamos muito cedo, as 5 da manhã, o início da nossa viagem para Lençóis. Depois de 10 horas de dança, música e dormir, nós chegamos no Morro do Pai Inácio. Essa é uma montanha no centro do um muito grande canyon.

Em cima do esse montanha há um Cruz, um velho homem que mora lá, e uma muita linda visão do o canyon por muito quilômetros.

Depois nos chegamos no o hotel nos tínhamos uma aula de dança de funk e forró e terminou o dia com uma festa na piscina.

2nd day

Brasilia to Luis Eduardo Magalhães

"First stop to Tempo do Paz

Here everyone was supposed to get positive energy but instead of that we were already with so much of energy that the process was just like a trip going round and round😂

We then went to a beautiful church built with blue glasses!!!✳Santuario dom Bosco

Then we went to the museum of Brazilian history...

And there were people who instead of looking at the antiques, looked at the sofa with interest..

Yeah...that was us🙈🙈😂

Then the boring part of the journey began...8hours in bus...

But this boring part of the journey cannot be boring with friends from different countries... We get a lot to learn if the different countries and about them!!

We danced..sang songs!!

It was a great bus ride!!

Obviously we are with full enthusiasm dancing in the bus for the all 8 hours...we also learnt about piu-piu 🙈😯🙄😏..

The best part of the journey..which most of the people missed was the prank played by Vitor on Humberto...

""Vitor's butt fell on Humberto's face""".

Then everyone was in their own world "quietly" chit-chatting.. listening songs on their headphones... Getting into ""deep conversations""!!!

Finally as we reached our hotel for the night stay..we had our dinner...and...again we were burdened with a lot of "important instructions of safety"!! About the chapeta...and ""jaggy purreta""😂🙈🇧🇷

At then end of the day...as we see how our day was..we just laugh until having tears remembering the moments..."

4 de Janeiro: Brasília

"Fui o primeiro dia que teve atividades.

Tudo mundo estava cansado, embora fosse de manhã. Porque o dia antes a gente foi a Brasília com o avião ou o ônibus, isso precisou tanto tempo.

De manhã nós comemos e depois nós tivemos nossa orientação de Terra Brasil. Duas horas eles fazem a apresentação.

Boa começo!

Nossa primeira atividade foi o signo:

Eu ❤ Brasília

A gente tiremos muitas fotos e tudo mundo estava acordado ainda.

Depois nós fomos à “catedral interna”. A construção dela é única.

Um lugar legal demais.

O último lugar que nós visitemos foi o senado federal. Lá nós tivemos um tour que estava muito interessante. Nós vimos muitas coisas que você vi só no TV normalmente.

No final nós estávamos com sono de novo mas o dia foi ótimo."
